General EVC Grant
On Election Day 2025, Rice Votes hosted the university’s first-ever Election Day Block Party. It was a high-energy, nonpartisan event designed to make civic engagement both visible and exciting. Held in the Academic Quad right next to the on-campus polling location, the event featured free refreshments, a civic organization fair, live music, and even a bouncy castle. The goal was simple but powerful: create a space where voting felt like a celebration, not just an obligation.
