NEW! Midterm Mobilization Grant

The Midterm Mobilization Grant provides funding for projects that increase student voter participation and civic engagement during the 2026 midterm election cycle. Whether you're planning educational programming, voter registration efforts, candidate or issue education, or Election Day engagement, this grant helps chapters create meaningful, nonpartisan initiatives that inform, mobilize, and empower student voters. Ideal for chapters looking to make a measurable impact on campus during the election season.


    •  Hosting voter registration drives and tabling events

    • Organizing candidate forums, debate watch parties, or issue education events

    • Creating and distributing voter guides, educational materials, or campus-specific election resources

    • Printing flyers, posters, stickers, and promotional materials for voter outreach

    • Purchasing supplies for civic engagement events (tables, signage, giveaways, etc.)

On Election Day 2024, Rice Votes hosted the university’s first-ever Election Day Block Party. It was a high-energy, nonpartisan event designed to make civic engagement both visible and exciting. Held in the Academic Quad right next to the on-campus polling location, the event featured free refreshments, a civic organization fair, live music, and even a bouncy castle. The goal was simple but powerful: create a space where voting felt like a celebration, not just an obligation.

Civic Holidays Grant

  • 10 External Organization Collaborations

  • 26 EVC Grants awarded and $18,000 supported various EVC Grant Initiatives

  • Interacted with nearly 4400 students through event, polling location check, registration checks, and voting information

  • Registered nearly 1350 students to vote and provided nearly 400 rides to polling locations.
